Burke Porter equips all its test stands with a Windows®-based, application specific software package that is developed, written and tested completely in-house. This software offers the user complete control and customization in a simple, easy-to-understand environment. As a result, new models can be created and tested in a matter of minutes without the need to contact Burke Porter Machinery for minor modifications.
In addition, a graphic interface allows the operator to visually monitor input speed, output speed and torque while the test is running. Any point along the graph can be exploded and viewed for a detailed analysis of the smallest speed or torque inconsistency. All programs offer fully detailed on-line help, including step-by-step instruction for model creation, test creation and full test stand control. Raw data for entire test routines can also be graphically analyzed and printed for use at any later date.
The software also offers advanced data acquisition capabilities, so that any data or machine actions can be monitored and logged throughout all test sequences. The operator can access a detailed breakdown of events at the end of each test. Dynamic linking through our PC-based OPC server enables advanced data collection and monitoring, also providing instant onscreen notification of any important events that have occurred.
Adding new products to be tested, developing new test routines, monitoring mechanical functions and creating new data reports are all simple, quick and direct, requiring no previous programming or software knowledge.
